Always good to switch on over to Americas very first Communist news network to see what sort of audacious stupidity would flow out of the mouths of their exceptional trio of primetime pundits.

Their always insightful *sarc* brand of analysis came in handy tonight following President Obamas speech to the West Point cadets about his Afghan strategy and the impending troop surge.

Chris “Tingles” Matthews had a particularly interesting gem tonight, where he referred to the United States Military Academy at West Point, as the “Enemy Camp”. Perhaps nothing more than a poor choice of words, or maybe his real belief, I am waiting for the day when GE, NBC and the heads of these companies will come crashing down on the head of this moron for his blatant stupidity. However, Matthews also said he saw a lot of skepticism among some of the older audience members at West Point, which he called “the enemy camp” and “a strange venue.” (emphasis added)

“It seems like in this case, there isn’t a lot of excitement,” Matthews said. “I watched the cadets, they were young kids – men and women who were committed to serving their country professionally it must be said, as officers. And, I didn’t see much excitement. But among the older people there, I saw, if not resentment, skepticism. I didn’t see a lot of warmth in that crowd out there. The president chose to address tonight and I thought it was interesting. He went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case. I mean, that’s where Paul Wolfowitz used to write speeches for, back in the old Bush days. That’s where he went to rabble rouse the “we’re going to democratize the world” campaign back in ‘02. So, I thought it was a strange venue.”

This guy is a class act.

Cap and Trade is coming, and its coming quickly. HR 2454 has been met with alot of resistance in the past weeks since it was introduced. Most importantly to the Democrat leadership has been the dissent from some within their own ranks. They came to be known as the Farm Belt Democrats during this discussion. Apparently, according to a spokesperson for Nancy Pelosi, a deal has been struck with these Farm Belt Democrats, paving the way for a vote scheduled for this Friday, June 25.

Waxman-Markey as the bill is known officially is a bill set to limit the amount of carbon that can be produced by businesses. The mandatory  reductions in greenhouse gas emissions is a first for the US government, aimed at creating the demand for alternative energy sources, and mandating a heavy tax burden on the companies that do in fact create fossil fuels.

The obvious ripple effect trickles down to the consumer who will face what many expect to be massive increases in their monthly energy bills. According to the Heritage Foundation Center for Data Analysis :

But the direct tax on household energy use is just the beginning. The energy tax also hits producers. As the higher production costs ripple through the economy, the household pocketbooks get hit again and again. When all the tax impacts have been added up, the average per-family-of-four costs rise by $2,979 per year. In the year 2035 alone, the cost is $4,609. And the costs per family for the whole energy tax aggregated from 2012 to 2035 are $71,493.

The average of the climate tax revenue, what the government gets to spend or give away, is $236 billion from 2012 through 2035 and adds up to $5.7 trillion in tax collections

President Obama said over and over again during his campaign for President that he had planned on taxing the top 1% of wage earners in the United States. He has definetely kept that promise. This bill is effectively a massive tax on the remaining 99% of the  population, that during the difficult economic condition here in our country, most will not be able to afford. The environmental lobbyists in Washington are no-doubt in heaven with the prospect of this bill running through Congress with little or no debate, as Pelosi is planning on doing. This bill is designed to combat the “Global Warming pandemic” that has been widely debunked as junk science. The debate obviously continues on the true effects of climate change, but many scientists are admitting that the earth is currently now in a cooling cycle.

To all the Political Fish readers, I urge you to contact your Senator and representatives to vote down this backdoor tax hike. As Americans across the country struggle to pay their bills and keep their employment, our wonderfully intelligent government plans on stuffing this bill through as quickly as possible. Anyone ever wonder why this President and his puppet leadership in Congress insist on pushing through these enormous bills, stimulus plans, and other assorted legislation at lightning speed? Squashing the debate and enforcing a political agenda is the only reason this would make sense. There is no reason otherwise.
