Cap and Trade is coming, and its coming quickly. HR 2454 has been met with alot of resistance in the past weeks since it was introduced. Most importantly to the Democrat leadership has been the dissent from some within their own ranks. They came to be known as the Farm Belt Democrats during this discussion. Apparently, according to a spokesperson for Nancy Pelosi, a deal has been struck with these Farm Belt Democrats, paving the way for a vote scheduled for this Friday, June 25.

Waxman-Markey as the bill is known officially is a bill set to limit the amount of carbon that can be produced by businesses. The mandatory  reductions in greenhouse gas emissions is a first for the US government, aimed at creating the demand for alternative energy sources, and mandating a heavy tax burden on the companies that do in fact create fossil fuels.

The obvious ripple effect trickles down to the consumer who will face what many expect to be massive increases in their monthly energy bills. According to the Heritage Foundation Center for Data Analysis :

But the direct tax on household energy use is just the beginning. The energy tax also hits producers. As the higher production costs ripple through the economy, the household pocketbooks get hit again and again. When all the tax impacts have been added up, the average per-family-of-four costs rise by $2,979 per year. In the year 2035 alone, the cost is $4,609. And the costs per family for the whole energy tax aggregated from 2012 to 2035 are $71,493.

The average of the climate tax revenue, what the government gets to spend or give away, is $236 billion from 2012 through 2035 and adds up to $5.7 trillion in tax collections

President Obama said over and over again during his campaign for President that he had planned on taxing the top 1% of wage earners in the United States. He has definetely kept that promise. This bill is effectively a massive tax on the remaining 99% of the  population, that during the difficult economic condition here in our country, most will not be able to afford. The environmental lobbyists in Washington are no-doubt in heaven with the prospect of this bill running through Congress with little or no debate, as Pelosi is planning on doing. This bill is designed to combat the “Global Warming pandemic” that has been widely debunked as junk science. The debate obviously continues on the true effects of climate change, but many scientists are admitting that the earth is currently now in a cooling cycle.

To all the Political Fish readers, I urge you to contact your Senator and representatives to vote down this backdoor tax hike. As Americans across the country struggle to pay their bills and keep their employment, our wonderfully intelligent government plans on stuffing this bill through as quickly as possible. Anyone ever wonder why this President and his puppet leadership in Congress insist on pushing through these enormous bills, stimulus plans, and other assorted legislation at lightning speed? Squashing the debate and enforcing a political agenda is the only reason this would make sense. There is no reason otherwise.

Well America, the time has come. President Obama is going to force you to turn out the lights.  During his campaign, Obama promised over and over again to only tax the highest 1% of wage earners. To his credit, he has definetely soaked the rich, and kept his promise. What he hasn’t been quite so honest about is the promise to not raise the taxes on the 95% of American working families, or the middle class. While he hasn’t increased income taxes (in fact, they were slightly lowered temporarily) he has started taxing everything under the sun, which will DIRECTLY affect average middle class working Americans.

When will the masses wake up and see the fraud that is right in front of our faces.

Cap and Trade is just another example of this backdoor double taxation that will not show up in our paychecks. It will, however greatly effect your pocketbooks. The Cap and Trade scheme is basically the creation of a new commodity in the markets, the right and ability to emit carbon, and the government plans on regulating and taxing the daylights out of it (no pun intended). This bill is also known as the Waxman-Markey Clean Energy and Security Act. The taxes that will be leveled on energy companies will be enormous, and that will obviously translate into much higher prices for the average consumer. Those of us at least who pay a light bill or a heating bill.

This is a call to action for all PoliticalFish readers to contact your Senators and Representatives and demand that they shoot down this piece of garbage legislation. This is a green lobbyist dream bill, and it also will be used to fund Obama’s socialistic universal healthcare initiatives. The plan is to jam this through the House this week. Fly it under the radar, do it quickly…thats the name of the game these days in Washington.
