Fox News interview with Obama

Brett Baier should be given the Pulitzer Prize for journalism because of this interview. The video is approximately 19 minutes long in case you missed it.
Here is part 1 of the interview speaking on the subject of health care and procedure.

Part 2 of the Fox news interview with President Obama touching on foreign policy.

President Obama: “I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate. What I can tell you is that the vote that’s taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform. And if people vote yes, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote for health care reform. And I don’t think we should pretend otherwise. And if they don’t, if they vote against it, then they’re going to be voting against health care reform and they’re going to be voting in favor of the status quo. So Washington gets very concerned with these procedures in congress, whether republicans are in charge or democrats are in charge

Brain-dead libtard quote of the day

No, this one is actually NOT straight from the lips of Joe Biden, I know I was shocked too.

No, even better. Nancy Pelosi today commented on her common views and common ground that she shares with the Tea Party movement in an interview with Elizabeth Vargas on “This Week” on ABC. You gotta see it to believe it.

From Newsbusters, here is the transcript.

You will remember this past summer the mouth foaming rage that Speaker Pelosi was engaged in at the mere mention of the Tea Parties that were going on across the country, yes even in her uber-liberal district in San Francisco. She accused the Tea Partiers of being shills for the Republican party (a line she still clings to in the interview) Nazis, that they were inciting violence, and of course the famous line that we are all just astroturf and not a real grass roots moment.

Pelosi weird

Somebody should inform the Speaker that she is the target of most of the anger coming out of the Tea Party movement. The Obama/Reid/Pelosi cabal is the front and center focus of the Tea party movement and the ire from within it.

Oh and I might add, shame on Elizabeth Vargas for refusing to be an actual journalist and challenging the Speaker on such a ludicrous statement. There is no common ground, and her assertion that we have common ground on special interest groups is moot since she is in bed with the special interests on every level.

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz: Cheney’s heart a political football

Apparently part of the requirement to get a job over at our good friends from MSNBC is to have zero class whatsoever.

Recently, we reported that Dick Cheney, the former Vice President of the United States had been taken to the hospital in Washington and was reported to have had his 4th heart attack. Well, the lefty loons out there pounced all over it, and in their classic libtard style began launching their classless tirades against the former Veep.

Amazing how bleeding heart liberals will whine when you chop down a tree, whine about people dying because of the American healthcare system, whine about everything under the sun in the name of helping people. Then when someone gets sick that just happens to be a conservative, the blood hounds come out and they attack a man on his sick bed. Classy folks. Listen to this idiot rant at your own peril.

Don’t worry Mr. Schultz, conservatives will likely pray for a speedy recovery when you burst that blood vessel in your head that always seems to be pulsating with your rage.

Chris Matthews…is this guy serious??

At what point does MSNBC (shameless as they are) get embarrassed by continuing to trot out Chris “Tingles up my leg” Matthews to offer up political analysis…and believe me, I use the term analysis very loosely in this sense. What makes it worse, is they continue to trot him out live…and in front of a camera. The only thing MSNBC has working in their favor is the fact that nobody really watches their channel, because well…they are all nuts. But I digress.

In the aftermath of the State of the Union address, Matthews apparently “forgot he was black” speaking of President Obama, and continued on with that theme for entirely too long. Apparently the rest of the country has become color blind, except for the leftists that can’t seem to stop bringing it up.  Just watch the video…it actually will do the soul some good to see Tingles Matthews embarrass himself…AGAIN.

Politico’s Micheal Calderone put together a list of some of the reactions that came flying out of the blogosphere and internet. Quite comical really.

Still, that single line quickly bounced around Twitter and the blogosphere, along with widespread criticism of Matthews on the left, on the right and in between.

“The tingle appears to be back for Chris Matthews,” wrote Noel Sheppard on NewsBusters. The headline on Wonkette read: “Chris Matthews Has an Apology on the Way.” And on ThinkProgress: “Matthews’ comment seems to imply that a man who is too ‘black’ still can’t become ‘a leader of this country.’”

The Matthews comment was met immediately on Twitter with both confusion and contempt, and later “Chris Matthews” became a top trending topic.

The New Republic’s Michael Crowley wrote: “Huh?” with The Huffington Post’s Jason Linkins asking, “W to the F?”

Meanwhile, The American Prospect’s Adam Serwer offered a terse response to the Matthews line: “F— You.” The Washington Independent’s Spencer Ackerman wrote that the MSNBC host should “get off the air.” And from the The Joshua Blog: “He needs to be gone from @MSNBC for good. Enough already

I guess the left isn’t quite as color blind as they purport themselves to be.  Tingles was only able to forget he was black for an hour. Must not have been using that negro dialect right Harry Reid?

Michelle Malkin gives us a great line.

Who says such a thing? And they call Tea Party folks RAAAAAACISTS? Is there a more race-obsessed motor-mouth on TV than Chris Matthews?

Nope.

What does America’s Most Trusted Newsman have to say about all of this?? Jon Stewart, go ahead and weigh in sir!

Okeefe sets record straight on arrest

ACORN - JAMES O'KEEFEACORN antagonist James O’keefe III was arrested this week at the office of Louisiana Senator Mary Landieu’s office for what was initially reported as his attempt to bug the phone lines. O’keefe and three other men, two of whom were posed as phone system repairmen were arrested by the U.S Marshall service. The media of course have gone into a feeding frenzy (one will remember the cautious silence after Okeefe exposed ACORN this past summer) at the idea that O’keefe a conservative activist and overnight star had crossed the line. The story came out hot from the Associated Press, check out the details on Big Government.com

A conservative activist who posed as a pimp to target the community-organizing group ACORN and the son of a federal prosecutor were among four people arrested by the FBI and accused of trying to interfere with phones at Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office.

Activist James O’Keefe, 25, was already in Landrieu’s New Orleans office Monday when Robert Flanagan and Joseph Basel, both 24, showed up claiming to be telephone repairmen, U.S. Attorney Jim Letten’s office said Tuesday. Letten says O’Keefe recorded the two with his cell phone.

Flanagan, the son of acting U.S. Attorney Bill Flanagan in Shreveport, and Basel asked for access to a phone at the reception desk. Then they asked for access to a phone closet so they could work on the phone system. The men were directed to another office in the building, where they again said they were telephone repairmen.

They were arrested later by the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Details of the arrest were not available. A fourth man, Stan Dai, 24, was also arrested, but Letten’s office said only that he assisted the others in planning, coordinating and preparing the operation.

Federal officials did not say why the men wanted to interfere with Landrieu’s phones or whether they were successful. Landrieu, a moderate Democrat, declined comment Tuesday. She has been in the news recently because she negotiated an increase in Medicaid funds for her state before announcing her support for Senate health care legislation.

Of course, the media got it wrong. MSNBC and its counterparts in the leftist media had O’keefe tried, convicted and sentenced in the first day. Of course we all know that is not how things work here. Andrew Breitbart, who became inextricably linked with O’keefe and Hannah Giles this summer, issued this statement in the immediate aftermath.

“We have no knowledge about or connection to any alleged acts and events involving James O’Keefe at Senator Mary Landrieu’s office.  We only just learned about the alleged incident this afternoon.  We have no information other than what has been reported publicly by the press.  Accordingly, we simply are not in a position to make any further comment.”

Just because the media says so, doesn’t mean its true. They understand that the majority of people out there will not look into the matter deeper, therefore they can say what they want, and not have to worry about it. This is what happened here. The FBI affadavit says nothing of tapping, or bugging the Senators phone lines, however that is the story that was thrown out as if it was the truth.

O’keefe released this statement yesterday, after federal agents concurred that there was NO evidence of the 4 young men tapping the phone lines. They were originally arrested and charged with entering a federal facility under false pretenses, which of course they did and admitted to.

The government has now confirmed what has always been clear:  No one tried to wiretap or bug Senator Landrieu’s office.  Nor did we try to cut or shut down her phone lines.  Reports to this effect over the past 48 hours are inaccurate and false.

As an investigative journalist, my goal is to expose corruption and lack of concern for citizens by government and other institutions, as I did last year when our investigations revealed the massive corruption and fraud perpetrated by ACORN.  For decades, investigative journalists have used a variety of tactics to try to dig out and reveal the truth.

I learned from a number of sources that many of Senator Landrieu’s constituents were having trouble getting through to her office to tell her that they didn’t want her taking millions of federal dollars in exchange for her vote on the healthcare bill.  When asked about this, Senator Landrieu’s explanation was that, “Our lines have been jammed for weeks.”  I decided to investigate why a representative of the people would be out of touch with her constituents for “weeks” because her phones were broken.  In investigating this matter, we decided to visit Senator Landrieu’s district office – the people’s office – to ask the staff if their phones were working.

Go here to read the remainder of his statement, where he decries the treatment  he has received from the media. Big Journalism.com, which was launched by Andrew Breitbart this month with the intention of exposing the media for what it has become, has begun demanding retractions from all the major media and new media outlets that unfairly smeared O’keefe this week.

It should be noted that the Washington Post already issued their retraction of the story, nothing from the NY Times who completely missed the ACORN story, and likely missed this one too. The Old Gray Lady is on her last legs I guess, can’t seem to do any real journalism.

Kyle-Ann Shriver wrote an excellent commentary on the MSM drowning in its ideology and foregoing real journalism. Check it out. Here is an excerpt.

As two former top-echelon radicals, David Horowitz and Peter Collier, documented in their book, The Destructive Generation, the radical communist revolutionaries of the 1960s never went away.  They simply left the streets and poured into American institutions, working their ideology into every university.  Their primary targets were the law and journalism schools, the colleges of education and the machinery of the Democratic Party.  In all of these endeavors, they have been amazingly successful.

Horowitz and Collier summarized the ultimate aim, as elucidated by the movement’ chief philosopher, John Jacobs, thusly:

The idea was not to create a perfect state operating by the clockwork principles of Marxist law but to promote a chaos that would cripple America and ultimately cast it into receivership that would be administered by the morally superior third world.

The American mainstream media, after several decades of this leftist ideology permeating journalism schools, now works on a predictable paradigm.

Obama attacks SCOTUS decision in his weekly address

In the Presidents weekly Internet address, Barack Obama took the opportunity to launch an attack at the recent Supreme Court decision that effectively abolished decades old restrictions on corporate spending for political activites.

“This week, the United States Supreme Court handed a huge victory to the special interests and their lobbyists – and a powerful blow to our efforts to rein in corporate influence,” he said of the Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. “This ruling strikes at our democracy itself.”

Obama in his address backed the efforts of Democrats in Congress as he did earlier several days ago and called for Republicans to join Democrats in supporting the measures.

“When this ruling came down, I instructed my administration to get to work immediately with members of Congress willing to fight for the American people to develop a forceful, bipartisan response to this decision,” he said. “We have begun that work, and it will be a priority for us until we repair the damage that has been done.”

Unsurprisingly, the American people disagree. Gallup released a poll today showing that a majority of Americans believe that corporate spending in elections and for political purposes is in fact free speech, which of course Mr. Obama does not agree with.

Americans’ broad views about corporate spending in elections generally accord with the Supreme Court’s decision Thursday that abolished some decades-old restrictions on corporate political activity. Fifty-seven percent of Americans consider campaign donations to be a protected form of free speech, and 55% say corporate and union donations should be treated the same way under the law as donations from individuals are. At the same time, the majority think it is more important to limit campaign donations than to protect this free-speech right.

Gallup free speech

It is ironic actually that Obama is slamming on this decision so hard. You will remember during the 2008 election that candidate Obama decided to forego the federal election funding, opting to go private instead. This of course opened the doors to all sorts of donors, large and small to donate unchecked to his campaign. It also left candidate John McCain holding the bag on his own legislation, handcuffed by his own doing on how much money he could spend on the campaign. Yet, after Obama circumvented the law, he now lashes out at the Supreme Court for their decision against McCain/Feingold. It’s hypocrisy in its purest form.  Speaking of hypocrisy…aren’t the Democrats always the beneficiary of labor union largesse on an almost daily basis? The answer is yes.

McCain/Feingold was unconstitutional on its face. Shame on President Bush for ever signing the measure into law. The libertarian CATO Institute produced a video this week explaining in much greater detail the dangers of the campaign finance bill. You can’t call it censorship, thats a dirty word…but you can call it campaign finance reform. Wrapped in a pretty package, it still limits speech.

One fatal flaw in the logic of the McCain/Feingold bill. Aren’t all news outlets owned by large corporations? As stated in the video, without specific exemptions corporate news and press would be given more first ammendment rights than the rest of the country.

Obama once again shows himself to be disgraceful in his lack of respect for the Constitution. The beat goes on.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool… by Jordan B. Rickards

Seldom watched MSNBC host Keith Olbermann embarrassed himself in front of his dozens of viewers recently when he concurred with a guest of his, Congressman Alan Grayson (D-Florida), who argued that the recent Supreme Court decision which eliminates restrictions on corporate speech is “the most irresponsible decision by the Supreme Court since the Dred Scott decision.”

For the record, Dred Scott was decided in 1857.  Since then the Court has decided Plessy v. Ferguson, which allowed states to keep black children out of white schools; Buck v. Bell, which allowed for compulsory sterilization of mentally retarded persons as part of a eugenics scheme, justified by Justice Oliver Wendell Holme’s chilling axiom that “three generations of imbeciles are enough”; Korematsu v. U.S., which allowed for internment of Japanese-American citizens during World War II; Roe v. Wade, which created a natural right to the most unnatural of acts; and more recently, the 2005 decision in Kelo v. City of New London, which allows states and municipalities to seize private property for no reason other than hand it over to another private party.

Reasonable people can disagree over whether corporations should enjoy the same right to freedom of speech as individuals.  But no right minded person can disagree that Olbermann and Grayson’s comments were, to use their words, “most irresponsible.”

Air America gets the wind knocked out of it

I guess its because they lost their superstar radio personality to the US Senate *end sarcasm here*

From ABC News:

Air America Radio, a radio network that was launched in 2004 as a liberal alternative to Rush Limbaugh and other conservative commentators, on Thursday shut down abruptly due to financial woes.

The network once boasted hosts such as Al Franken and Rachel Maddow, but struggled from the outset, including multiple management shake-ups, a bankruptcy in 2006 and sale for $4.25 million the following year.

Air America ceased airing new programs Thursday afternoon and said it will soon file to be liquidated under Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It began broadcasting reruns of programs and would end those as well Monday night.

“The very difficult economic environment has had a significant impact on Air America’s business. This past year has seen a `perfect storm’ in the media industry generally,” the company said in a statement on its Web site.

The New York-based network said its “painstaking search for new investors” came close to succeeding even this week, “but ultimately fell short.”

Franken Stuart smalleyI guess its just more evidence that center-right America has no use for the liberal rantings far left ideology. We get enough of that swill from the mainstream media (which I might add is currently dying as well) on a daily basis.

Speaking of liberal incoherent rantings…everyones famous underviewed liberal turd was at it again in the wake of the Scott Brown victory in Massachusetts. Since hardly anybody actually saw this live (Fox News beat MSNBC almost 7 to 1 on election night) I figured I would give everyone an opportunity to see how lost and undone these people really all. I give you….Keith Olbermann. Enjoy.

Unfortunately the video cuts short at the 2:43 mark, shortly after that ole’ Keith wet his pants, which was quickly followed by his head exploding. Classic footage. Like I said, nobody was actually watching this.

An Open Letter to Jay Leno

I was in the process of writing this long editorial about the Late Night wars between NBC and Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno. I wrote about how I knew beforehand this wasn’t going to work — how Conan’s schtick wasn’t going to play well on “The Tonight Show” and how moving Leno to 10 pm was going to be a disaster for NBC.

And then I saw this clip.

Jay Leno in 2004

What a joke.

So Jay, here’s my advice: Take your own.

Five Quick Thoughts on Steroids & Baseball

Should Mark McGwire get into the Hall of Fame?  Let’s take a quick look at the arguments against:

  • He cheated.
  • He took performance-enhancing drugs.
  • Steroids were illegal.
  • He’s a bad person!  What kind of example does that set?
  • We shouldn’t celebrate a tarnished era.

Addressing them one by one:

  • He cheated.

Okay, so did Gaylord Perry.  Perry won 300 games and threw a spitball his entire career.  He even named his autobiography “Me and the Spitter”.  This is a family website, so I’m not going to make a joke about that.

  • He took Performance-Enhancing Drugs!

Okay, but there’s reason to believe that Mickey Mantle did, too.  Mantle sat out the last week of the 1961 season because of a hip infection after a doctor used a rusty needle to inject a concoction of steroids and amphetamines.  Back in the 19th century, Hall of Fame pitcher Pud Galvin drank monkey testosterone.  I am not making that up.

  • Steroids were illegal!

Yeah, well, so was alcohol during the Prohibition era.  Pete Alexander was a notorious booze-hound who pitched drunk.

  • He’s a bad person!  What kind of example does that set?

Well, Tris Speaker was in the Klan!  So was Cap Anson.  And maybe Ty Cobb, too.  Besides, Jose Canseco (who has turned out to be the Woodward & Bernstein of this entire steroid debacle) has said that there is, in fact, a member of the Hall of Fame who he knows used steroids.  What do you do with that?

  • We shouldn’t reward players from a tarnished era!

But we have, so many times.  Anyone who played before World War II played in an era where the competition was inferior because blacks were banned from playing.

The bottom line is this, really: baseball had a serious drug problem.  It still does.  Until recently, the league wasn’t serious in rooting out the problem.  Home Runs were good for the game; Mark McGwire obliged.  Canseco estimated that 85 percent of players used steroids (the rest of them must have been on the early-90s Mets).  We do not have a reasonable way of detecting who did / who did not use drugs, and thus, there will inevitably be another player inducted into Cooperstown who used PED’s.  There needs to be a way of dealing with this; my solution is this:

The Hall of Fame is a museum.  We should treat it like that.  Whether it’s Barry Bonds or Roger Clemens or Sammy Sosa or Mark McGwire, their Hall of Fame plaque should list their accomplishments and make note of the fact that they achieved these accolades using steroids.  If you want to go a step farther, employ Bill Simmons’ “pyramid” idea and knock those players down a level.

If anything, the real bad guys are the writers.  If you want to say that McGwire’s numbers are inflated, then you shouldn’t penalize guys like Fred McGriff (who put up monster numbers before the steroid era began).  Dale Murphy had a bunch of great seasons, but these days his total of 398 HR’s doesn’t look that impressive.  Alan Trammel, same sort of thing.  Choose one or the other; celebrate the stars of the 80s or recognize the feats of those from the 90s.

And while we’re at it, let’s save a spot for Pete Rose.

CNN ratings dropping faster than Obama

Which really does not say a whole lot with as fast as the Obama ratings are falling through the political floor. While we are on the subject of Obama’s ratings, Rasmussens Daily Tracking poll shows that those that strongly disapprove of Obama and his less than stellar performance is at 41%, while those that strongly approve only sits at 29% for a daily rating of -12%.  The public is finally waking up to the reality of what we mistakenly put into office…this might also be known as some serious buyers remorse.

obama_approval_index_october_26_2009

But I digress from my original point, which of course was about the Obama administration mouthpiece in the cable news arena. CNN along with her sister station of Headline News (HLN) are battling it out for last place in the quarterly viewership ratings. Sadly for CNN, they are shedding viewership at a pace we are not even used to seeing, as FOX roars ahead in all ratings, beating out rivals MSNBC by at least double, sometimes triple and quadruple the nightly viewers. From the NY Times, I am going to put this quote in here so we can all laugh, but it needs to be seen.

CNN, which invented the cable news network more than two decades ago, will hit a new competitive low with its prime-time programs in October, finishing fourth – and last – among the cable news networks with the audience that all the networks rely on for their advertising.

That means CNN’s programs were behind not only Fox News and MSNBC, but even its own sister network HLN (formerly Headline News.) Three of its four shows between 7 and 11 p.m. finished fourth and last among the cable news networks. That was the first time CNN had finished that poorly with its prime-time shows.

CNN has steered opinion hosts like Nancy Grace to HLN, while maintaining more news-oriented shows on CNN itself. When news events are not being intensely followed, CNN executives acknowledge, viewers seem to be looking for partisan views more than objective coverage.

Individually, the CNN shows were beaten resoundingly by all the Fox News programs, but also lost to all of the MSNBC programs, including a repeat of Keith Olbermann’s 8 p.m. edition of “Countdown,” which beat the 10 p.m. hour of CNN’s signature prime-time program, “Anderson Cooper 360.”
Again that was a first.

The bolded section is laughable at best. This is the same network that fact-checked an Obama skit on SNL, but won’t fact check any of the outrageous lies being propagated through their network by their very own messiah. CNN has constantly offered slanted propaganda type news, which is joybeharironic given their constant attacks on Fox news for the same charge, and offers absolutely nothing worth watching as far as entertaining opinion type shows. Their signature offering, Anderson Cooper 360 has tanked far below that of its nearest competitor Keith Olbermann, which is significantly below any of the Fox offerings. The same company owns HNL, and with offerings like what we have on that channel, its no surprise how ineffective they are at reaching out to viewers. Here is a snippet from the Joy Behar Show on HNL (yes, as if the View wasn’t pathetic enough, they gave this woman her own primetime political talk show…wow)

In the schoolyard of American politics, President Obama is the big, smart kid with all of the test answers who’s being bullied by a bunch of Neanderthal ankle-biters from all sides.

Meanwhile, all the teachers are wondering, “Why does he take this crap? He’s bigger and smarter than all the other kids.”

It’s no surprise the Glenn Becks of the world have been attacking Obama since the moment he stepped into the Oval Office. Beck and his blathering buddies on the right — you know, the stinky kids in the coatroom who eat their own boogers. Always pick on the kids least likely to fight back.

That being said — we did elect President Obama to change things, and so far the only thing he seems to be changing are his faux-patriotic lapel pins … and his mind.

With analysis like that, I personally am shocked they are not leading the way. *end sarcasm here*

WH Declares war on Fox; still wobbly on Afghanistan

The indecision of President Barack Obama in Afghanistan is starting to make sense now. He is putting the attention of the White House on Fox News Channel and taking the fight to them instead of the sworn enemies of the United States, you might remember them as the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

Most of us have seen by now the jaw dropping ignorance of interim White House communications director Anita Dunn a few days ago on CNN declaring all out war on Rupert Murdoch’s wildly successful media conglomerate, declaring them to not be a news station at all, but merely the research arm and communications arm of the Republican party. For those that missed it, here is the video.

Ms. Dunn is clearly unaware of the difference between news and opinion. Clearly Fox has its opinion shows, and there is undoubtedly a conservative bent to those shows. Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity are obviously staunch conservatives. Bill O’reilly falls into more of a moderate conservative mold, Greta Van Susteren the same. What Ms. Dunn has obviously failed to recognize is the numerous voices on the network that fall into the liberal side of the equation. Geraldo Rivera?? Bob Beckel, Pad Caddell and the list goes on of pundits, talking heads and contributors they have on the network to give both sides of the story. Makes for great entertainment. It also is what Americans want. NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS, MSNBC are so ridiculously in the tank for any and all Democrats (especially the Chosen One) that Americans are turning them off. On any given night, Fox beats them senseless in the ratings…Combined!

Neil Cavuto absolutely blasted Anita Dunn on his show with the most common sense logic you could possibly apply to that level of ignorance.

So why is the administration taking on Fox News? What could possibly be gained by this strategy. It is politically ignorant, and sets a dangerous precedent to attempt to intimidate the ONLY news station that is not completely in the tank for you. It really makes CNN and the rest of the sheep media look pathetic, because it simply illustrates the point that they are unwilling to print, opine, or produce any sort of coverage that might be critical of the President, and it appears to be at the behest of the Executive branch.  The reason is clear. Fox News has skyrocketing ratings. They are the highest they have ever been, and only going higher. Which is a clear indication to this administration that there is a growing unease and dissent among the American people when it comes to the force-fed policies of this administration. They see it, and they can’t stand it.  When the MSM even admits that carpet-bombing a news station that doesn’t conform is bad policy, then you know it must be real bad policy and strategy.

So as we continue to watch the Obama administration step up its attacks on American citizens and the place where they CHOOSE en masse to get their news, lets not forget about the soldiers in Afghanistan who have now endured 45 days of indecision on whether or not we want to win the war in Afghanistan.

Time to prioritize Mr. Obama.

CNN exploits black children to press healthcare reform

I must admit, I sat and watched this video with mouth open, and not sure what to say. Let me first say with a little tongue-in-cheek that this Miley Cyrus song “Party in the USA” should not be getting this much airtime, but thats just me. But the actual sickening part is that a major news network, and I use that term loosely, would exploit these children on the air to sing a song about Obama and his healthcare plan. Even more disturbing to me is that they clearly learned this song in school, the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta GA. From the website, it would appear that this is a private school, so my disdain is not quite as great as it would be coming from a taxpayer-funded public school, but I still find this to be pretty disgusting.

Our President has really reached down to a new low.  I’ll be waiting on Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or any of our countries infamous race-baiters to make a statement against black children being used as political props. I won’t be holding my breath. Watch this video, try to block out the lame Miley Cyrus tune, and see what the political debate has sunk to. My personal favorite is the shot they take at Rep. Joe Wilson for his “you Lie!” comment during President Obama’s speech to Congress.

Shock and Awe Campaign on ACORN

It has been a whirlwind news cycle the last few days as video after video has been coming out exposing the corrupt underbelly of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

hannah-gilesjames-okeefe

Andrew Breitbart and his new website BigGovernment.com has been absolutely destroying ACORN, and for his opening act he started releasing the videos and stories from Hannah Giles and James O’keefe as they sought to expose ACORN for who they really are, and contacted Breitbart to get the word out. And what a massive success they have been. They have travelled to Baltimore, Washington DC, New York City, San Bernadino and most recently San Diego playing the same act as a pimp and a prostitute looking for housing. Clearly, the ACORN employees were well versed in manipulating the system, even if it meant aiding and abetting criminal behavior. Things got really good in San Bernadino California, where the Tresa Kaelke (ACORN employee) admitted on camera to killing her husband, effectively illustrating her street cred to the “hooker” Giles and her “pimp” O’Keefe.  Sean Hannity got the scoop tonight on the newest video to come out, which happened in San Diego. Take a look at the interview with Breitbart and Giles, along with the newest damning video evidence.

Its simply amazing. Even though to look at them, it would seem there would be no way they could pull off the act, they apparently have convinced ACORN employees across the country, even so much as to get a solicitation from the San Diego representative.

This recent scam, which was attempted in San Diego, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia to name a few places, had failed for months before the results we’ve all recently seen.
-Bertha Lewis, Chief Organizer, ACORN

Sorry Bertha, it doesn’t look like they failed. It looks like ACORN has been exposed.

THE FALLOUT

And boy has there ever been some fallout. Shortly after the release of the Baltimore video, Senator Johans (R-NE) added an ammendment to HR3288 which is the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2010. Senate ammendment 2355 cut funding to ACORN, and was passed in overwhelming fashion, 83-7. Believe it or not, yes there were 7 who voted to continue funding ACORN. They are as follows:

NAYs —7
Burris (D-IL)
Casey (D-PA)
Durbin (D-IL)
Gillibrand (D-NY)
Leahy (D-VT)
Sanders (I-VT)
Whitehouse (D-RI

I know that I am not surprised by this list. Burris and Durbin jump out at me though, as likely being deeply connected with this organization, as they hail from the very center of government corruption in America, the great state of Illinois.

Also, in the days following ACORNs new found (albeit unwanted) fame, the US Census Bureau decided to cut ties with ACORN as well.  Ben Smith at Politico points out…

The latest ACORN expose, in which a conservative producer and his partner got two ACORN employees to give him advice on running his prostitution business and evading taxes with their underage Latin American prostitutes (really) has dealt the organization a final blow as far as the Obama administration is concerned: The Census has chosen to stop working with the group, with Census Director Robert Groves writing ACORN President Maude Hurd that public “concern” about the group has become “a distraction from our mission” and that recent events — an apparent reference to the expose — has “added to worsening negative perceptions of ACORN.”.

Conspicuously absent in this whole process has been the mainstream media. This expose from Giles and O’Keefe has exposed ACORN for who they really are (1 or 2 times coincidence, 5 is a pattern, sorry ACORN), but it has also exposed the inept main stream media for who they really are as well. They have been all but silent, other than MSNBC and CNN blasting these radical conservative 20-somethings who are on a witch hunt, following the right-wing obsession with ACORN. Actually MSM, they are doing your job…real investigative journalism.  Check out the piece MSNBC put out, including an interview with ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis. Tell me after watching this there isn’t some sort of leftist bias and radical agenda from this news organization. Its so thick in this segment, it cannot be missed.

Classic MSNBC…I was actually waiting for Rachel Madcow or Keith Olbermann to rush the stage and start up with one of their inane right-wing demonizing rants. One can dream I suppose.

I will end with this. We should all lift these two patriots up in our prayers, as the media and this organization has threatened them with lawsuits and other smears, and I’m sure its just a matter of time before more serious threats are levied in their directions. With a little creativity, they have accomplished what millions of decent Americans were hoping for, which is effectively bring down the largest “social justice” aka socialist community organizations in the country. Their website uses this social and economic justice double speak in its “ABOUT” section. Too bad the American public is awake now to what that term actually means.

It will be interesting to see more of the fallout in the coming days and weeks. Potential Congressional investigations into lawmakers ties with this group would be appropriate, and let us not forget that the Obama administration and campaigns have been intricately involved with ACORN. It was after all his first job out of college! Already the White House has thrown ACORN under the bus, by attempting to distance itself from the group. But the American public already knows better than that. Its their typical modus operandi to sell out their friends when times get tough.

This has truly been a shock and awe campaign unleashed by the grassroots in America against corruption.
