Facts are stubborn, and not politically expedient
The WhiteHouse blog today unleashed what is quite possibly the most pathetic spin job I have seen to date. President Obama knows he is getting demolished in the debate over his healthcare reform bill. The reason he originally set such a quick deadline to push it through and make it law, is because he was well aware of the political risks involved in the public getting their hands on this bill; all 1000+ pages of it. His miscalculation on this subject, most notably from within his own party have really put the White House on the defensive. This video was released on the White House blog today, showing Linda Douglass (formerly working for ABC News…go figure) who is the Communications Director for the White House Health Care Reform…this is precious.
Now we all know this is the typical political bluster, a typical Alinsky-type move of ridicule and marginalization of all who oppose you. We are really supposed to believe that everyone else is lying except the politicians…sorry if that doesn’t really convince anyone. But what comes next on the White House blog is beyond the pale. Check this out!
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
Let me be the first to inform everyone that as soon as I finish writing this post, I am emailing it to the address given. This is an attempt at intimidation of the American public, and those who oppose a socialist takeover of the health care industry. Obama’s own words implicate him on these FACTS. There will be a governmental board who will decide cost/risk analysis of health care. IT’S IN THE BILL. And it is a FACT. There will be taxpayer funded abortions in this bill. Its in there, IT’S A FACT. This bill WILL be providing free health care for 12-22 million ILLEGAL aliens, its in the bill and it is a FACT. This garbage that they are peddling to weak-minded Americans who will believe it is a shame. The fact that they are attempting to censor and silence a massive group of Americans who do not buy into this is tyrannical.
The statement made about turning in “fishy” information seems like somewhat of a threat. I mean, what are they going to do with that information? Do they want to shut down the Political Fish because I oppose, and have actually read HR 3200? Should I expect an IRS audit? Or maybe even a cute little YouTube video on the WH website calling me a liar. I would appreciate the free advertising, as I am sure Matt Drudge did today.
The moment you attempt to censor the American public, you can expect Revolution. I do not throw that term around lightly, but that is the ultimate right of a free society. Just ask the Iranians.

this is really priceless, have they not heard that sometimes less is more.
Isn’t this an illegal use of government funds? I remember what happened with the Clinton’s database where they denied vehemently that they weren’t using government funds for political purposes, but this things by Obama seems like they are doing what Clinton was accused of doing secretly. Hopefully lawyers will get on this as it seems illegal for the White House to use taxpayer money to spy on taxpayers over a political thing.
I am sending a similar e-mail my fellow outraged citizen. My first ammendment rights feel violated and once again, my tax dollars at work for the personal agenda of the president. Is this a means to target propoganda in favor of the bill or is this a tatic to target me for investigation by a “Hoover” type mentality. It’s all very scary. The funny side is I have a “fishy” email from the white house campaigning for the health care reform bill. Maybe I should report that!
I’ve already reported it! hahaha. I say bring down the email server by just flooding it with a bunch of garbage.
